Namibia's Marine Protected Area includes the area stretching 400km from Meob Bay to Chameis Bay, covering a strip from the coast to approximately 30km offshore and including the guano islands and rocky islets. The southern islands are important for breeding birds such as cormorants, gannets and penguins as well as for Cape Fur Seals which breed there.
